Action Staffing Services is recruiting for Distribution Center Supervisors for a well established Automotive Distribution Center. There is a 6 month (4 month if candidate has previous supervisor experience) period, which the applicant will be trained on all the duties in each station within the distribution center. This position would require that the candidate learn the company operations, policies, and procedures. Provide training, guidance, and counseling as needed to each team member within the assigned department. Provide leadership throughout the deptartment and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level. Work with the supervisor in the department to which they have been assigned to establish annual goals and follow up planning to accomplish these goals. Work with HR supervisor to interview and hire prospective team members. Operate in a safe manner for the benefit of self and others and maintain a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations. Skills that are required include; excellent communication, leadership, organizational and people skills. Must be able to work in a team environment, multi-task, and have a basic knowledge of computer skills. |
